Lima & Huaraz

Las Fuentes en el parque de la reserva, Lima.

Lima was shortlived- we opted for sunnier climbs and booked the overnight bus to Huaraz yesterday. Before leaving we went to a park with illuminated fountains - it was impressive stuff, and not what you'd expect to find in a place like Lima. We spent a good hour and a half there for the princely sum of 4 soles (less than a pound) We arrived in Huaraz at 5.30 this morning- travel sickness tiredness and the like. Its fine now, but we set off on a 4 day trek tmr which ranges between 3700 and 4750 metres. must find somewhere to buy coca leaves before we begin!! Huaraz is nothing impressive as a town- however the views 360 degrees around us are stunning.

And I saw my first llama today. so im very happy.
