Do re mi...

Firstly you'll be pleased to hear my bank issues have been resolved, and I've found free internet! Which means when I have a break from work I can update y'all on life in LAm. Which, by the way, is absolutely fabulous. My first new word upon arriving in Cuenca was 'che' (short for chevere, like our word for cool, or Nemo's word for Ace). Cuenca is a beautiful and fairly calm city, with little shops and restaurants dotted along narrow streets. Every other corner is adorned with a church of impressive size/style. It doesn't feel like the rest of Peru/Ecuador that Ive seen, although there are plenty of reminders of the more 'typical' parts of the continent, like the Menu del Dia which is so cheap that we eat out every lunch time. 3 courses and a drink for 1-2 dollars depending on location, and the people selling fruit in their wheelbarrows on the street shouting ''fresas, platanos, manzana manzanas!''

Im afraid I cant upload my latest photos (including monkeys, manatís, coast and Cuenca) becuase my batteries died in my camera and my charger isnt the right one for ecuador. Ach technology. I'll find a solution, never fear.
