Sunset. We went on expeditions on foot and by boat. The boat trips left the lodge every morning at 6, then after breakfast, again after lunch, and once more for a nocturnal trip.

We saw sloths, monkeys, spiders, birds, iguanas, dolphins, tree rats (supposedly. I could never see them), caiman, tarantulas on our ceiling, fish... and thousands of trees. And we heard a jaguar. There were footprints outside our lodge. the guides´eyes were astounding. They could spot the smallest thing from the boat.

The sloths were so sweet- and so, so slow. The guide said ´when they become pregnant, they move slower´. Classic. Did you know (fact for the day) that sloths only use the bathroom once a week? And I phrase it like that beacuse they actually make a litle hole with their tails in the ground, and cover their mess afterwards! It´s to fertilise the tree, part of the cycle.
