Being in a new city full of genuinely interested and friendly people, im afraid I left minimal time for blogging. In 4.5 hours I will be up n out again as I will be taking the early morning bus to Pokhara to meet my fellow teacher-trainer and guide Pema.  Kathmandu is busy, chaotic, fun and  surprisingly 'globalised'. For example, I went to a bar this evening and enjoyed a live band of nepali origin singing the likes of Kings of Leon. They were good too!
My top three moments so far:
1.Reaching the top of the 365 steps to the monkey temple and finding a place of indescribable calm (despite the masses of people and children playing football around the Hindu shrines!)
2. Meeting Jaam, a local artist and linguist extraordinaire who taught me about many traditions and who bought me tea.
3. Having tea with another local who taught me my first Nepali phrases with patience and good humour.

Here's to the next step on my adventure.

(Photos will be added when there's a good enough internet connection!)
