Travel inspires the most level-headed of people to become something of a mediocre philosopher, don't you find? :-) It's probably those sweeping train journeys across unfamiliar terrain, sunsets washed in wine and the moment when you are pulled from the reverie of a good book up into a new vista, a new city which is standing steadfast in centuries of history, ready to assault all of your senses and ignite your imagination. You begin to relate this new world to your own; another piece of the world falls into your hands. What do you do with it then?

So summer this year included a trip to Romania. It was a fortnight filled with sunshine, cobbled streets, palaces, folklore, dancing, music, clock towers and hearty stews.
